Biography

William S. Bathel serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Bill is responsible for organizational risk including the enterprise risk management program. In that regard, he provides reports to the Board and management on Association operational performance. Bill oversees key strategic initiatives surrounding innovation, data management and governance and business intelligence. He leads the Association's internal technology operations and coordinates technology efforts with Financial Partners Inc. (FPI), chairing their Business Advisory Committee. Bill serves on the Farm Credit East Credit, Asset Liability, ICFR and Human Resources Committees. Bill also works closely with the Board of Directors and Board's Audit Committee. Bill joined the Farm Credit System in 1987 and advanced through several positions. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a degree in Accounting.
