Biography

Owen Smith retired from AgSouth Farm Credit, ACA, on 12-31-17 after having worked with the Farm Credit System for almost 40 years. Owen grew up on a farm in Sumter, SC and graduated from Clemson University in 1978 with a degree in Administrative Management. Owen later obtained a Masters in Business Administration from Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga. Owen was hired by the Farm Credit Bank of Columbia and he worked in a number of associations in South Carolina and Georgia over his career. Owen is married to Kelli Lowrimore-Smith and they have 3 boys, a son, Patrick, who attends Clemson and twin boys, Tristan and Ashton, who are rising seniors at Boiling Springs High School . They live on a small farm in the foothills of South Carolina. Owen is now working as a consultant training new loan officers and credit analysts for several Farm Credit Associations.
