FCC Services 2018 Conferences: Distinction

Each year, FCC Services produces a stellar group of professional conferences to support participants’ professional and personal development. Focused around a carefully selected and timely theme, these conferences attract directors and C-level leaders, as well as other employees from loan officers and marketing staff to risk management and human resources professionals.

This year’s theme, Distinction, will deliver targeted presentations from keynote speakers and industry professionals, designed to help participants identify key areas where individuals and organizations can distinguish themselves to improve their products and services, better meet their customers’ needs, and thrive in the face of increased competition.

“We all face an increasing pace of change and increasing competition, both for clients and for talent. There’s also huge pressure on individuals to up their game, and improve their skills and abilities in what is a highly technical and regulated environment,” says Jean Cantey Segal, Chief Learning Officer of Learning and Consulting Services for FCC Services. “The way to success is by distinguishing ourselves individually and as organizations, so our focus this year is on how we can support our clients to create those distinctions.”

FCC Services’ conferences continue to grow in attendance, and conference ratings continue to be outstanding, even increasing year after year. One reason is the targeted approach to customize the year’s theme to each specific audience and the specific challenges and opportunities they face.

“We work to identify topics and keynote speakers that support the theme, pursuing speakers who will enlighten and inform, who will motivate and energize, and whose message is also distinct with a fresh perspective on solutions and best practices,” says Joette Cross, Vice President of Event Management at FCC Services.

Mark Weidenbenner, VP/Branch Manager with Farm Credit Southeast Missouri, serves on the Steering Committee for The FORUM for Ag Lending, working with fellow committee members to create a program that will resonate with attendees.

“The committee members have different backgrounds, so when we’re discussing particular topics we’re able to identify the specific needs of the various members of our audience,” Mark says. “For example, I know what kinds of questions farmers are asking me, so I can help identify the education that would help others like me in Farm Credit be better prepared to answer them.”

FCC Services works with Steering Committees for several conferences, and also incorporates input and suggestions from attendees at previous conferences, to develop informative and enlightening agendas for each event. “Each year it is our goal to build on the success and learnings of the previous years’ conference,” says Stephanie Barton, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Account Management at FCC Services. “We do this by reviewing evaluations, keeping track of industry trends, recruiting stellar steering committee members and exploring challenges and opportunities with our clients.”

This year’s FCC Services conference line-up includes:

The Learning Conference: “Degree of Difference,” July 23-25, Denver, Colorado
RAAW Conference: “Complexity of Risk,” August 27-29, San Diego, California
