Biography

Jim is a Regional Vice President of Sales and Customer Relations at GreenStone Farm Credit Services, which serves all of Michigan and northeast Wisconsin. In this role, Jim oversees the sales function within four offices that serve a nine-county area located in the southern half of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. This includes working with both agricultural and country living loan officers. Jim also serves as the co-leader of the Association’s Country Living lending segment.

Prior to becoming an RVP approximately 13 years ago, Jim served as GreenStone’s Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for seven years, overseeing the association’s advertising, communication, promotion, and community involvement efforts.

Previous to joining GreenStone in 2004, Jim spent more than nine years in the credit union industry, working in various management roles. He is a 1994 graduate of Central Michigan University, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Journalism (Public Relations concentration) and Business Administration. Jim has also completed Banking School at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He has previously served as a trustee or board of director for the Council of Michigan Food & Farming Systems, the Ronald McDonald House of Mid Michigan, and the Michigan 4-H Foundation.

In his time outside of work, Jim enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with his wife and three boys, two of which are now in college and the other a senior in high school.
