Biography

Ray Wagester is the Vice President of Collateral Management for CoBank. He re-joined the Farm Credit System as a Senior Appraiser in 2006 after owning and operating his Michigan-based appraisal firm, Wagester & Associates, for five years. Ray’s has over two decades of agricultural appraising, and collateral risk management experience within the Farm Credit System. Ray holds a bachelor degree in Agriscience from Michigan State University and master degree in Financial Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Ray is a 4-H volunteer and active supporter of FFA. Ray and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters, Anna and Alison. They reside on a small ranch in the Rocky Mountain Front Range region of Colorado and enjoy continuing their families’ farming tradition. Currently, the family operation focuses on raising Boer goats and freezer beef.
