For three tumultuous days in 1863, Gettysburg was the backdrop for one of the Civil War’s most dynamic encounters. Decisions made, opportunities missed, passions sparked and leadership decisions changed the course of our country. Today, this setting is the site of powerful programs that will transform the way you lead, preparing you for your greatest challenges.

In 2026, we have created a partnership between FCCS’ Women of Distinction program at Gettysburg and the Farm Credit Council to present a special Women of Distinction program in honor of the International Year of the Woman Farmer.
The Farm Credit Council is launching the Advancing Women in Agriculture through Resilience & Distinction (AWARD) program. This signature experience will take place August 31–September 3, 2026, at the historic Gettysburg battlefield, bringing together women who embody leadership, courage, and a deep commitment to agriculture.
Each Farm Credit Institution is invited to nominate one director, customer, or employee who exemplifies resilience, distinction, and dedication to advancing the future of agriculture. Click here for more information about this partnership and dedicated program.
This four-day program integrates three central and distinct groups of women into the current Gettysburg Leadership Experience platform. These groups represent the professionals who attend, women leaders who currently shape the Gettysburg community, and the female historical protagonists who pivoted and put their lives on the line during the Battle of Gettysburg. Through this facilitative process, the program will provide a shared learning and leadership experience, coaching opportunities and connections to share challenges and successes, and an ongoing network of professionals from a variety of industries.
